Thank you for considering to be a guest on the Jerry Wills Show. My goal for interviews is that they should always be fun, casual, and easygoing – no stress.
I want our audience to experience us having a conversation in an easygoing environment over coffee. Of course, if you have anything off-topic or controversial to talk about or point out, I look forward to that as well and encourage it.
I plan to keep this as real as possible with no fear of censorship. There is no censorship, judgment, or flinching from my side of the equation… just two friends who have an informative and lively discussion that will help our audience know you better.
Finally, you are welcome to promote your book website, event, or anything else. Let Jerry know about this in the comments section below. Be sure to provide any needed graphics and information to show our audience.
Below are IMPORTANT THINGS you must know and do BEFORE WE RECORD
    1. Once we have received your submission form, Kathy Wills [show producer] will contact you regarding dates and times. We want this to be scheduled conveniently to accommodate your availability. It is understandable how difficult this can be, given the numerous time zones worldwide. We want you on as a guest and will work with you to find the best timing.
    2. Provide a 300dpi waist-up image of yourself for promotional reasons. If possible, this should be on a blank background.
    3. Using the form below, provide a backup phone number in case we need to reach you.
    4. We conduct our interviews on Zoom. You will be sent the Zoom link ahead of or on the day of the show.
    5. Plan to connect with Jerry on Zoom no less than 20 minutes ahead of the showtime. This is necessary to find issues with the connection, set up your shot, and adjust audio and video levels.
    6. You must have enough light that we can see you. Side light is best using two light sources.
    7. Dress how you want to be seen.  This is on VIDEO. Be at ease and be yourself. Don’t overthink your attire, but also be aware that you want to appear in a way that you will be proud of.
    8. Sit where you want to be seen. We’ve had interviewees in their kitchen, living room, guest bedroom, office, and more. The location does not matter too much. Lighting and sound is very important.
    9. If you have a green or blue screen that is well-illuminated we can easily make it look like you are in our studio. 
    10. Do not use the microphone built into your pad or laptop. This might be adequate for other things, but it is not good for an interview. Use a good microphone.
    11. Test your internet connection:  If you do not have a wired connection, we highly recommend that you pick a place with great WIFI and test your speeds at www.SpeedTest.net — If your Download Speed is less than 10mbps and your upload speed is less than 3.5mbps you should not attempt to broadcast to us. It is best if you have speeds of 100 down/10 up or higher if possible. If you have questions or concerns about this please email us at Xpeditions@mac.com.     12. Leave Extra Time (plan for as much as two hours). Our show is usually 90 minutes. It could go less or more depending on you. If possible, allow a few minutes to stay online AFTER the show for a proper goodbye.
    13. We usually take one 11-minute break each hour. If you need to break at ANY TIME, please mention it. We will quickly break and resume once you are ready.
    14. Jerry might not be completely familiar with your subject. Using the form below, please provide a list of questions you feel are salient to your topic.
    15. Using the form below, upload up to 14  files or graphics to support your narrative. We require high-resolution [300 dpi] and if possible the images should be sized 16×9. Verticle images are also acceptable at 300 dpi.
    16. Submit any graphics or supporting material as soon as possible. Each image should be numbered in the sequence you intend to use in the show.
