THE JERRY WILLS SHOW

Jerry Wills Show Guest Information Form

Please enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.
Thank you for considering a guest spot on the Jerry Wills Show! My aim for every interview is to keep things fun, relaxed, and laid-back—no pressure, just a good time.
Picture this: you and me chatting over coffee in a cozy, casual setting. That’s the vibe I want our audience to feel—like they’re right there with us. And if you’ve got something unexpected, offbeat, or even controversial to bring up, I’m all ears and encourage it—bring it on!
I’m committed to keeping it real, with zero censorship or hesitation on my end. No judgment, no holding back—just two friends having an engaging, lively conversation that lets our audience connect with you and your story on a deeper level.
Oh, and feel free to plug anything you’d like—your book, website, event, whatever’s on your mind. Just drop the details (and any graphics or info you want to share with the audience) in the comments below so Jerry can make it happen.
Here are some KEY DETAILS you need to know and steps to take BEFORE WE RECORD:
    1. Once we receive your submission form, Kathy Wills, our show producer, will reach out to coordinate dates and times—unless we’ve already nailed that down with you. We’re all about scheduling this at a time that works best for you, and we get how tricky that can be with time zones all over the map. It’s truly an honor to have you as a guest, and we’re happy to flex and find the perfect slot together!
    2. Please send us a 300dpi waist-up photo of yourself for promotional use. Ideally, it should feature a plain, solid background if you can manage it.
    3. Please share a backup phone number so we can get in touch with you if needed.
    4. Be sure to join Jerry on WebEx at least 20 minutes before the show starts. This gives us time to troubleshoot any connection hiccups, frame your shot just right, and fine-tune the audio and video settings.
    5. Make sure you have plenty of light so we can see you clearly. For the best look, use soft side-lighting from two sources, with a third, dimmer light gently illuminating the background.
    6. Wear whatever feels right for how you’d like to come across—stay comfortable and true to yourself. No need to stress over your outfit, but keep in mind you’ll want to look back and feel good about your choice.
    7. Choose a spot where you’re happy to be seen—we’ve had guests join from kitchens, living rooms, guest bedrooms, offices, you name it. The exact location isn’t a big deal, but great lighting and clear sound are a must.
    8. If you’ve got a well-lit green or blue screen, we can seamlessly make it look like you’re right here in our studio!
    9. Please avoid using the built-in microphone on your tablet or laptop—it might work fine for casual stuff, but it won’t cut it for an interview. Go with a quality microphone instead.
    10. Check your internet connection ahead of time. If you’re not using a wired setup, we strongly suggest finding a spot with solid Wi-Fi and running a quick test at www.SpeedTest.net. If your download speed is below 10mbps or your upload speed dips under 3.5mbps, it’s not going to work well for broadcasting to us. Ideally, aim for speeds of 100mbps down and 10mbps up—or better if you can swing it. Got questions or worries about this? Shoot us an email at Xpeditions@mac.com with “Need Help for Jerry’s Show” in the subject line.
    11. Set aside extra time—up to two hours, just to be safe. The show typically runs about 90 minutes, but it could be shorter or longer depending on how things flow with you. If you can, stick around for a few minutes after we wrap up so we can say a proper goodbye online.
    12. We typically take an 11-minute break once each hour. But if you need a pause at any point, just say the word—we’ll stop right away and pick back up whenever you’re ready.
    13. Jerry may not know your subject inside out, so please use the form below to share a list of questions you think really highlight the key points of your topic.
    14. Go ahead and use the uploader below to submit up to 10 files or graphics that support your story and bring your points to life. We need high-resolution images (300 dpi), preferably in a 16×9 format if you can swing it—though vertical images at 300 dpi work too.
    15. Please send us any graphics or supporting materials as soon as you can. Number each image in the order you’d like them to appear during the show.
    16. Here’s the link to our browser-based WebEx stream. Chrome works best for this. You can join as a guest—super easy. Otherwise, of course, use your WebEx account.
